The composition of the air we breathe in is different to that which we breathe out.
Our body takes oxygen out of the air and puts carbon dioxide into it. This means that the air we breath in has more oxygen and less carbon dioxide. The air we breath out is the opposite with more carbon dioxide and less oxygen.
