Speed time graphs
Refresh you knowledge on speed.
Answer the questions in task 1 on the companion sheet
Although they look really similar, distance time and velocity time graphs are subtly different. The sections of graph have different meanings.
Have a look at task 2 on the companion sheet and use the video to say whether the graph shows :
Constant acceleration, faster constant acceleration, slower acceleration, constant velocity. increasing acceleration or deceleration (negative acceleration)
Read through the mini presentation on describing a velocity time graph.
Write your description of the last graph into task 3 of the companion sheet
For this you will need a stop watch. Most phones have this function .
You will need to watch this video.
You need to pause it at certain events and make a not of the time in minutes and seconds. This is recorded on the companion sheet.
You then need to convert the time into seconds on the companion sheet.
You will then be able to draw a velocity time graph for the car chase.
