The water ,molecules are more attracted to the material lining of the inside of the tiny tube than the rest of the water molecules. This means the water moves up the tube.
This is called Capillary action
Other examples are:-
Drying with a towel, Plants taking water from the ground and how a fountain pen works
A butterfly has a proboscis, it uses it to drink sweet nectar from flowers.
The image below is a magnified proboscis. You can see it has a tiny tube running all the way through the middle of it. But is is not like a straw, a butterfly has no cheeks and tongue to 'suck' with.

Have a look at this WAGOLL method below. It is for making a cup of tea.
There are simple steps and order in which you must do things:
Firstly, fill up the kettle with water. Make sure the kettle is plugged in .Turn on the kettle and allow the water to boil.Place a teabag in your favourite mug then pour boiling water into your favourite mug on top of the tea bag. Allow the tea to brew for 30 seconds.Using a teaspoon, stir the tea bag around in the hot water, then remove and dispose of the teabag in the bin. Make the tea as you prefer by adding milk and/or sugar. Give the tea final stir with the teaspoon to make sure the milk and sugar are mixed in thoroughly.
Enjoy the hot beverage!
